Los Belones is a typical Spanish village located 7km west of La Manga del Mar Menor. It has a Tuesday farmer’s market each week which sells locally grown fruit and vegetables from this fertile region. Los Belones is well known for its wine production and the Bodega de Los Belones Wine Cellar offers wine tasting of an extensive range of local wines, as well as other quality Spanish wines.

There are several excellent restaurants in Los Belones which serve Spanish, Mexican, Indian, Chinese, Asian and Italian cuisine. There is also a delightful ice cream parlour and some small supermarkets.

Set in a tranquil green area of La Manga, Los Belones offers a quiet retreat and plenty of local hiking yet it is just a short distance from the many fine beaches in the area. The Mar Menor in particular offers many opportunities for watersports, swimming and sunbathing. This safe and secluded saltwater lagoon is ideal for windsurfing, parasailing, jet skiing and boating.

The nearby La Manga Club has excellent facilities for those staying in the Los Belones area. There are three golf courses and countless bars and restaurants. Golf is also available in the area at the Haciendo del Alamo Golf Club which boasts the longest layout in Spain and La Serena Golf Club, which is located along the Mar Menor. Roda Golf and Mosa Trajectum Golf Club also have world class amenities close to Los Belones.
