Portman is located on the Mediterranean sea and is located close the Cartagena and La Manga Club, it was a natural harbour that serviced the mining industry. Portman is a great base if you want to go walking over the mountains or take a cycle ride over the hills. The small village has everything you need including some bars and restaurants, supermarket, pharmacy and medical centre, just a short drive away is Cartagena where you can visit the marina and the streets of the roman town. In the opposite direction and over the mountains you will come to La Manga Club and then down to La Manga del Mar Menor and the beaches and water sports on the Mar Menor.
